Dr. Keishi Ebisawa is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Nursing and Welfare, Akita University of Nursing and Welfare. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Sciences from Waseda University, with a dissertation focusing on human resource development in elderly care facilities in Beijing. He also holds degrees in Social Welfare and Sociology from Peking University and previously conducted research as a special student at the University of Tsukuba.

He has held academic positions at Waseda University and currently serves as a part-time lecturer at Bunkyo University, with additional teaching experience at the Japan College of Social Work and Tokyo University of Social Welfare.

His research interests include aging and labor market transformation, welfare policy implementation, comparative analysis of welfare systems in Japan and China, and bibliometric studies of knowledge production in welfare research. He is also actively engaged in interdisciplinary research integrating information and communication technology (ICT) and social welfare, with a particular focus on how digital tools can support older adults’ well-being and social connectedness. He is committed to the international dissemination of interdisciplinary research on welfare and ICT, particularly within the context of Japanese society.
